Spring Acting Classes Announced for 2025, Summer Intensive Input, Actor News & Viewing Recommendations

Hello All!

Hope you had a great New Year Season!

Classes are going well with actors new to the work and lots of returning ‘old-timers’(young and older)!

It’s also lovely to hear from some of you from the past about auditing or training again.

Here’s a photo from December of some of the actors from the excellent Sunday class:

Upcoming Classes

The Spring Session will begin in late March.  Sundays or Mondays.  Let me know if you’re interested.

SUMMER INTENSIVE:

Input!

I also may put together a Summer Intensive in July.  I was thinking of doing it for two weeks, full days, Mondays – Fridays with Voice & Movement/Alexander in the mornings and my work in the afternoons.  LMK if you have any input and if you’re interested.

Actor News

Christine L. Nguyen

Christine trained in my class before and after she went to theatre school.  Her hard work and dedication are leading to steady work in a variety of genres!

Recommendations

Theatre in Cinemas

Donmar Warehouse’s production of MacBeth with David Tennent and Cush Jumbo: February 5.

These are really special – they are live performances filmed as cinematic events. Many of you don’t get to see first-class theatre.  And if you’ve never read or seen this famous play, now’s your chance!

Film: Heretic

Hugh Grant as you’ve never seen him!  Even though I’m usually scared by horror, this was such an interesting premise, and Hugh Grant’s energy was so manic, that I just kept watching!

Series: We Are Lady Parts

It’s been called ‘subversive … hilarious’ in its subject matter – and so much fun; the chemistry between the actors is electric as are the hysterical Punk performances.  Both seasons were excellent;  here’s hoping for a third season!

Sebastian Stan

Sebastian Stan gave two noteworthy performances this year.  He never stood out to me till now!  I’m going to watch for his name coming up next year!
